The Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts (BOPA) is proud to announce our 33rd Annual Open Studio Tour (OST):

Saturday, October 23, 2021, 10AM – 6PM

Sunday, October 24, 2021, 10AM – 6PM

An annual city-wide event, Baltimore Open Studio Tour has brought together professional artists and the general public, giving art lovers, students, art collectors, and creative influencers the opportunity to visit, meet, engage, purchase, and get a glimpse into the world and studios of some of Baltimore City’s most vibrant artists.

Each year attendees travels from throughout Maryland area and the surrounding region to visit the studios of artists in Baltimore to see their work and step into their working processes.

Open your studio on October 23rd and 24th, and take the opportunity to share your work with the public and with other artists during OST Weekend.

This program is made possible with the generous support of the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC).

Please note -  If you have a studio at Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower or School 33 Art Center, please do not use this application. Email our Public Art and Curation Manger, Kirk Shannon-Butts, at ksbutts@promotionandarts.org for information on how to register.

ELIGIBILITY: All fine, visual, and performance artists with studios within the Baltimore City limits are eligible to participate.

Individual Artists:

School 33 and Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower Residents:

Studio Building Registrations:

• 5 or more Studio Artists: $40.00 Each

If one person is paying all of the registration fees for the entire group on one credit card or check, do not use this application. You will not be able to submit this application without payment. Instead, contact Kirk Shannon-Butts at KSButts@promotionandarts.org to register with your group.

Makerspaces/Community Spaces/Nonprofit Arts or Education Spaces:

Galleries/Museums/Commercial Studios

• $55.00


• Digital promotional assets.

• 25 promotional postcards.

• 1 display sign.

• Name, studio address, and studio hours included in printed map.

• Name, address, studio hours, website and sample image(s) included in online map and BOPA website and BOPA social media platforms.

Participating artists are required to open their studios on both days, Saturday and Sunday.  All information about your studio (location, open hours, website, social media, etc.) will be available our website at www.promotionandarts.org. The site features a map with details for each participating artist and will remain live for one year.


For 2021, there will be a curated tour each day where three (3) artists per day are featured and will receive up to 25 guests for a 45-60 minutes studio tour group.  Artists will be selected based upon scope of work.


Although BOPA will publicize this event to the media, artists are encouraged to send out postcards (provided by BOPA) to their own mailing lists and activate all social media platforms to promote your studio.
